pamelatu asked: Miss Jackie! When it comes to make-up brushes (or make-up in general), I'm a dorkus. Sooo my question is: How do you clean your brushes? And how often should I clean them? <3 <3 <3

Miss Pamela~! Very good questions~!

When it comes to brushes you need to take very good care of them and make sure they are stored in a nice clean spot. I don’t suggest leaving them out on your sink or desk because that allows dust and dirt to be trapped in the bristles. I do however suggest you put them all in a bag/box and keep them away from your other cosmetics.

Cleaning and proper care: Cleaning the brushes are really easy, just get some regular dish soap and put a dime size on your palm, then get a little bit of water and swirl the mixture until all the eye color or whatever the product is on the brush is out. (Think of it like you’re cleaning the brushes you use to paint)

Regular maintenance: Your brushes should be cleaned based on how much you use them and if they have different eyeshadow colors on them. I would suggest once or twice every 2 weeks? Again, depends on what you’re using your brushes on (e.i eyeshadow, concealer, foundation, etc.) IF you have sensitive skin and can get acne or pimples very easily then you need to clean them more often and make sure you DO NOT SHARE BRUSHES WITH OTHER PEOPLE. Other people have other oils on their face and the cross contamination can show to be very “re-re” on your skin later on.

Hope that helped~!  ┐(‘~`;)┌ ~~ ♥
