These are my Ganguro girls! Also my first time coloring on photoshop, I think I will have to do it more often it’s actually really fun. Hopefully I’ll be able to paint more of my line drawings in the future with this method. I’m more use to “coloring” on illustrator because I usually make graphic illustrations more. TIME TO LEVEL UPPP~!!! Ganguro is a culture that rebels against Japanese stereotypes of what beauty should be. The classic Japanese beauty is pale, dark hair, and natural to no make up. The ganguro culture does the opposite with tanning themselves, dark heavy make up, dying the hair bright colors, and wearing loud clothing. Talk about making a stand! I love this idea about changing what “beauty” is, and everyone should create their own kind of beauty. I don’t know if I’ll be as bold to do what these girlies are doing but I’m sure to take some cues from them. º 3 º ~* When is Spring going to come? I wanna dress in bright colors! AW HECK.
