Artwork, Make up Tips, and other funny things of an Art Center student
This is my 2nd piece that I did for my make up book. It’s Queen Elizabeth I and her story is that during the 15th-18th centuries it was very popular to do make up in a way that completely blanked out the face, which was to powder it pure white. The concoction was lead based and therefore poisonous, the powder ended up making Queen Beth’s face worse and making the skin deteriorate underneath the make up. The powder also made hairlines really high because the hair would fall out, hence why she also wears a wig.
I wanted to show what make up could actually do/hide for even women back in that era. There were more interesting facts about fashion that I wish can I cover on but I think this piece has set me back far enough! Time for the next one! :D
Enjoy! ♡
